An act to add

Section 15006.5 to the Government Code, relating to state government. state government Attorney General: investigations: prediction market wagering. Existing law establishes the Department of Justice under the direction and control of the Attorney General and requires the department to, among other things, maintain a continuing investigation on a statewide basis of investment frauds and business crimes. This bill would require the Attorney General to investigate any payout of $5,000 or more received as a result of prediction market wagering if the event outcome was a matter of national security.

Existing law provides that the sovereignty of the state resides in the people thereof, and all writs and processes shall issue in their name.</xhtml:p><xhtml:p>This bill would make a nonsubstantive change to these provisions.</xhtml:p>"?> MAJORITY NO YES NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO The people of the State of California do enact as follows:

SECTION

Section 15006.5 is added to the Government Code , to read: 15006.5.
