RECITALS The Council of t he Cit y of San Diego (Council ) adopt s t his Resol ut ion based on t he fol l owing: A. On August 31 ,2021 , M at t hew Bradl ey fil ed suit against t he Cit y of San Diego al l eging personal injuries arising from a skat eboarding accident t hat occurred on Sept ember 26, 201 9, in t he crosswal k bet ween Bright on Avenue and Abbot t St reet , San Diego.

The l awsuit is entitl ed M at t hew Bradl ey v. Cit y of San Diego; San Diego Superior Court No. 3 7- 2021 -0003 721 6-CU-PO-CTL (Lit igat ion). B. In cl osed session on M ay 1 1 ,2026, t he Cit y Council , by t he fol l owing vot es: Yeas, Dist rict s 1 ,2,3 ,5,6,7,8 , and 9; Nays, None; and Absent , Dist rict 4; approved t he set t l ement of t he Lit igat ion for an amount consist ent wit h t he amount s set fort h bel ow.
