3 50 - (R-20 26-527) R ESOLUTIO N N UM B ER R - 31 841 D A TE O F FIN A L PASSA G E JU N 1 8 20 26 A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN DIEGO APPROVING FISCAL YEAR 20 26 COMMUNITY PROJECTS, PROGRAMS, AND SERVICES FUNDING ALLOCATION FROM COUNCIL DISTRICT 4 TO URBAN CORPS OF SAN DIEGO COUNTY FOR COMMUNITY IMPROVEMENT TOOLS. RECITALS The Council of the City of San Diego (Council) adopts this Resolution based on the following: A.

Council Policy 10 0 -0 6,"City Council Funding of Community Projects, Programs and Services," establishes guidelines and uniform eligibility requirements for the annual appropriation and expenditure of Community Projects, Programs, and Services (CPPS) funding. The CPPS appropriation is included in the City of San Diego's annual budget as approved by the Council. CPPS expenditures are at the discretion of each Councilmember during the fiscal year. B.

Pursuant to Council Policy 10 0 -0 6, CPPS funds may be awarded to City departments, public agencies, and nonprofit organizations for projects, programs, and services that serve a lawful public purpose and benefit the City's neighborhoods and communities. CPPS funds may be used for capital improvements; equipment, materials, goods, or supplies; community programming or events; food or beverages; and operational expenses. C. Council Policy 10 0 -0 6 requires CPPS funding awarded to public agencies and nonprofit organizations be done by Council resolution.

Public agencies and nonprofit organizations awarded CPPS funds shall enter a CPPS Grant Agreement with the City that specifies the responsibilities of the public agency or nonprofit organization with respect to the use of CPPS funds awarded and stipulating that all expenses shall be documented as required by the CPPS Grant Agreement. -PAGE 1 OF 4-

For Fiscal Year 20 26, Council District 4 recommends awarding CPPS funds in an amount not to exceed $3,760 .0 7 to Urban Corps of San Diego County, a nonprofit organization, to be used for Community Improvement Tools, as described in the FY 20 26 Community Projects, Programs, and Services Funding Allocation from Council District 4 to Urban Corps of San Diego County for Community Improvement Tools Staff Report issued June 5,20 26, including the supporting materials (StaffReport). E.

Council finds that the allocations to Urban Corps of San Diego County, a nonprofit organization, for Community Improvement Tools, as described in the Staff Report, conform to the parameters of Council Policy 10 0 -0 6. F. The Office of the City Attorney prepared this Resolution based on the information provided by City staff, including information provided by affected third parties and verified by City staff, with the understanding that this information is complete and accurate. Be it resolved by the Council ofthe City of San Diego: 1. Council District 4's recommended allocation ofFiscal Year 20 26 Community Projects, Programs, and Services funds to Urban Corps of San Diego County, a nonprofit organization, for Community Improvement Tools, as described in the FY 20 26 Community Projects, Programs, and Services Funding Allocation from Council District 4 to Urban Corps of San Diego County for Community Improvement Tools StaffReport issued June 5,20 26, including the supporting materials (StaffReport), an eligible activity under Council Policy 10 0 -0 6, is approved. 2.

The Mayor, or designee, is authorized to enter a Community Projects, Programs, and Services Fiscal Year 20 26 City Council Allocation Grant Agreement between the City of -PAGE 2 OF 4-

The Chief Financial Officer is authorized to expend an amount not to exceed $3,760 .0 7 from Council District 4: Fund 10 0 0 0 0 /Cost Center 1 10 4110 0 0 4/GL 5120 59, to grant funds to Urban Corps of San Diego County, a nonprofit organization, for Community Improvement Tools, as described in this Staff Report, contingent upon the Chief Financial Officer first furnishing one or more certificates certifying that the funds necessary for expenditure are, or will be, on deposit with the City Treasurer. 4.

The allocation to Urban Corps of San Diego County for Community Improvement Tools, as described in this Staff Report, is made for a public purpose.
