An act relating to corporate practice of medicine; 2 amending s. 458.331, F.S.; providing additional acts 3 that constitute grounds for denial of a license to 4 practice medicine or for disciplinary action, to which 5 penalties apply; providing an effective date. 6 7 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida: 8 9

Section 1. Paragraphs (xx) and (yy) are added to subsection 10 (1) of

section 458.331, Florida Statutes, to read: 11 458.331 Grounds for disciplinary action; action by the 12 board and department.— 13

(1) The following acts constitute grounds for denial of a 14 license or disciplinary action, as specified in s. 456.072(2): 15 (xx) Being employed by any corporation, organization, 16 group, or person other than a physician or a professional 17 corporation, limited liability company, or nonprofit 18 organization composed of licensed physicians. 19 (yy) Allowing any person other than a physician or a 20 professional corporation, limited liability company, or 21 nonprofit organization composed of licensed physicians to 22 direct, control, or interfere with a physician’s clinical 23 judgement, patient’s medical record, or physician’s billing and 24 personnel practices, including hours of practice. 25

Section 2. This act shall take effect July 1, 2023. 26
