An act relating to unlawful speed; amending s. 2 316.183, F.S.; including compliance with a local ordinance regarding the operation of a motor vehicle on flooded or inundated streets in an exception to a prohibition against driving at slow speeds; providing an effective date. 7

Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida: 9

Section 1. Subsection (5) of

section 316.183, Florida Statutes, is amended to read: 12 316.183 Unlawful speed.— 13

(5) A No person may not shall drive a motor vehicle at such a slow speed as to impede or block the normal and reasonable movement of traffic, except when reduced speed is necessary for safe operation or in compliance with law, including, 17 notwithstanding subsection (2), a local ordinance regarding the operation of a motor vehicle on flooded or inundated streets. 19

Section 2. This act shall take effect upon becoming a law. 20
