An act relating to specialty license plates; amending 2 s. 320.08058, F.S.; directing the Department of 3 Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles to develop an 4 Orlando United license plate; providing for 5 distribution and use of fees collected from the sale 6 of the plate; providing an effective date. 7 8 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida: 9 10

Section 1. Subsection (119) is added to

section 320.08058, 11 Florida Statutes, to read: 12 320.08058 Specialty license plates.— 13

(119) ORLANDO UNITED LICENSE PLATES.— 14 (

a) The department shall develop an Orlando United license 15 plate as provided in this

section and s. 320.08053. The plate 16 must bear the colors and design approved by the department. The 17 word “Florida” must appear at the top of the plate, and the 18 words “Orlando United” must appear at the bottom of the plate. 19 (

b) The annual use fees from the sale of the plate shall be 20 distributed as follows: 21 1. Sixty-seven percent shall be distributed to LGBT + 22 Center Orlando, Inc. Of this amount, up to 5 percent may be used 23 for administrative expenses, up to 2 percent may be used for 24 marketing of the plate, and the remainder shall be used to offer 25 free personalized counseling to any person affected by the 26 shooting at Pulse nightclub in Orlando on June 12, 2016. 27 2.

Five percent shall be distributed to onePULSE 28 Foundation, Inc., a charitable, nonprofit organization under s. 29 Florida Senate - 2022 SB 1154 13-00405C-22 20221154__ Page 2 of 2 CODING: Words stricken are deletions; words underlined are additions. 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, to be used for marketing 30 of the plate. 31 3. Twenty-eight percent shall be distributed to onePULSE 32 Foundation, Inc. Of this amount, up to 5 percent may be used for 33 administrative expenses, and the remainder shall be used to 34 support the construction and maintenance of the onePULSE 35 Foundation Memorial. 36

Section 2. This act shall take effect October 1, 2022. 37
