An act relating to teacher certification fees; 2 amending s. 1012.59, F.S.; requiring the State Board of Education to waive certain fees relating to teacher certifications for a specified time period; providing an effective date. 6

Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida: 8

Section 1. Subsection (4) is added to

section 1012.59, 10 Florida Statutes, to read: 11 1012.59 Certification fees.— 12

(4) For fiscal years 2023-2024, 2024-2025, and 2025-2026, 13 the State Board of Education shall waive initial general knowledge, professional education, and subject area examination fees, certification fees, certification renewal fees, and fees associated with removing a subject area designation from a certificate for all individuals. 18

Section 2. This act shall take effect July 1, 2023. 19
