An act relating to fees; amending s. 581.217, F.S; 2 requiring applicants seeking to obtain or renew a license in the state hemp program to submit with each application a fee to be specified by rule of the Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services; 6 limiting the amount of the fee; authorizing the department to waive the fee by rule; requiring fee proceeds to be deposited in a specified trust fund for the administration of the state hemp program; 10 providing an effective date. 11

Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida: 13

Section 1. Paragraph

(

f) is added to subsection (5) of

section 581.217, Florida Statutes, to read: 16 581.217 State hemp program.— 17

(5) LICENSURE.— 18

(

f) The department shall adopt by rule a fee, not to exceed 19 $1,800, to be paid by the applicant for each application for a hemp license or hemp license renewal under this section. The department may waive payment of the fee by rule. The department shall deposit the fees collected pursuant to this paragraph in the General Inspection Trust Fund for the administration of this program. 25

Section 2. This act shall take effect July 1, 2020. 26
