Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida: 10
Section 1. Paragraph
(
c) of subsection (2) of
section 12 507.04, Florida Statutes, is amended to read: 13 507.04 Required insurance coverages; liability limitations; 14 valuation coverage.— 15
(2) MOTOR VEHICLE INSURANCE.—Each mover operating in this state must maintain current and valid motor vehicle insurance coverage, including combined bodily injury and property damage liability coverage in the following minimum amounts: 19

c) Seven hundred and fifty thousand Three hundred thousand dollars per occurrence for a commercial motor vehicle with a gross weight of 44,000 pounds or more. 22
Section 2. Subsection (3) of
section 627.7415, Florida Statutes, is amended to read: 24 627.7415 Commercial motor vehicles; additional liability insurance coverage.—Commercial motor vehicles, as defined in s. 26 207.002 or s. 320.01, operated upon the roads and highways of this state shall be insured with the following minimum levels of combined bodily liability insurance and property damage Florida Senate - 2022 SB 1224 14-00794-22 20221224__ CODING: Words stricken are deletions; words underlined are additions. liability insurance in addition to any other insurance requirements: 31
(3) Seven hundred and fifty thousand Three hundred thousand dollars per occurrence for a commercial motor vehicle with a gross vehicle weight of 44,000 pounds or more, except for a vehicle that is a wrecker as defined in s. 320.01(39) and is eligible for a license plate under s. 320.0821, which wrecker must be insured at $300,000 per occurrence. 37 A violation of this
section is a noncriminal traffic infraction, 39 punishable as a nonmoving violation as provided in
chapter 318. 40
