An act relating to fees; amending s. 501.9745, F.S.; 2 requiring processors that sell kratom products at 3 retail to pay an annual registration fee to the 4 Department of Agricultural and Consumer Services; 5 providing a contingent effective date. 6 7 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida: 8 9

Section 1. Subsection (3) of

section 501.9745, Florida 10 Statutes, as created by SB ___, 2021 Regular Session, is amended 11 to read: 12 501.9745 Florida Kratom Consumer Protection Act.— 13

(3) A processor must be registered with the department to 14 sell kratom products at retail. The processor must pay an annual 15 registration fee of $500 to the department. 16

Section 2. This act shall take effect on the same date that 17 SB ___ or similar legislation takes effect, if such legislation 18 is adopted in the same legislative session or an extension 19 thereof and becomes a law. 20
