Senate Resolution A resolution recognizing and celebrating the invaluable contribution of education staff professionals in this state, who work tirelessly to enhance the learning experiences of Florida students and to advance student success. 6

WHEREAS, education staff professionals are valued and critical members of the education workforce in this state who, 9 on average, have more than a decade of experience and account for more than percent of the school workforce, and

WHEREAS, education staff professionals educate and nurture children in the classroom, offer nutritious meals, provide reliable transportation, and maintain safe and clean schools to ensure that all students, including those who are most vulnerable due to special needs, are ready to learn, and

WHEREAS, education staff professionals are the first to arrive in the morning and the last to leave at the end of the school day and they engage our students in the playgrounds, 19 cafeterias, classrooms, and hallways and at school crosswalks, 20 and

WHEREAS, education staff professionals are vital to local communities, providing support during emergencies and preparing staff evacuation shelters in advance of hurricanes and in preparation for other emergency circumstances, and

WHEREAS, education staff professionals ensure that students achieve success at their highest levels, and

WHEREAS, education staff professionals keep students emotionally and physically healthy and safe, and

WHEREAS, education staff professionals provide instruction and academic support, challenging and motivating students by maintaining high expectations, and

WHEREAS, education staff professionals help build and support a positive school culture, and

WHEREAS, education staff professionals are critical members of the education workforce and ensure student success from preschool through college,

Be It Resolved by the Senate of the State of Florida: 41 That the invaluable contribution of education staff professionals in this state, who work tirelessly to enhance the learning experiences of Florida students and to advance student success, is recognized and celebrated. 46
