An act relating to state university student fee waivers; amending s. 1009.26, F.S.; requiring state universities to waive specified fees for graduate students who meet a specified full-time equivalent appointment requirement; providing an effective date. 6

Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida: 8

Section 1. Present subsections (16) through (20) of

section 10 1009.26, Florida Statutes, are redesignated as subsections (17) 11 through (21), respectively, and a new subsection (16) is added to that section, to read: 13 1009.26 Fee waivers.— 14

(16) A state university shall waive the fees imposed in s. 15 1009.24(7)-(13) for a graduate student who has at least a .25 full-time equivalent appointment or greater as a graduate assistant, graduate research assistant, graduate teaching assistant, graduate research associate, or graduate teaching associate. 20

Section 2. This act shall take effect July 1, 2022. 21
