An act relating to public records; amending s. 2 11.0431, F.S.; deleting a public records exemption for drafts of and requests for drafts of reapportionment plans, redistricting plans, or amendments thereto and any supporting documents; providing an effective date. 6

Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida: 8

Section 1. Paragraph

(

e) of subsection (2) of

section 10 11.0431, Florida Statutes, is amended to read: 11 11.0431 Legislative records; intent of legislation; 12 exemption from public disclosure.— 13

(2) The following public records are exempt from inspection and copying: 15

(

e) A draft, and a request for a draft, of a reapportionment plan or redistricting plan and an amendment thereto. Any supporting documents associated with such plan or amendment until a bill implementing the plan, or the amendment, 19 is filed. 20

Section 2. This act shall take effect July 1, 2022. 21
