An act relating to private instructional personnel providing applied behavior analysis services; amending s. 1003.572, F.S.; revising the definition of the term 4 “private instructional personnel” to include certain registered behavior technicians; providing an effective date. 7
Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida: 9
Section 1. Present paragraphs
(
b) through
(
f) of subsection 11 (1) of
section 1003.572, Florida Statutes, are redesignated as paragraphs
(
c) through (g), respectively, and a new paragraph 13
(
b) is added to that subsection, to read: 14 1003.572 Collaboration of public and private instructional personnel.— 16
(1) As used in this section, the term “private instructional personnel” means: 18
(
b) Registered behavior technicians who have a nationally recognized paraprofessional certification in behavior analysis and who practice under the supervision of individuals described in paragraph
(
a) by assisting and supporting such individuals in the provision of applied behavior analysis services. 23
