An act relating to law enforcement vehicles; creating 2 ss. 718.129, 719.131, and 720.318, F.S.; providing 3 that community associations may not prohibit a law 4 enforcement officer from parking his or her law 5 enforcement vehicle in certain areas; providing an 6 effective date. 7 8 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida: 9 10

Section 718.129, Florida Statutes, is created to 11 read: 12 718.129 Law enforcement vehicles.—An association may not 13 prohibit a law enforcement officer who is a unit owner, or a 14 tenant, a guest, or an invitee of a unit owner, from parking his 15 or her law enforcement vehicle in an area where the unit owner, 16 or the tenant, guest, or invitee of the unit owner, otherwise 17 has a right to park. 18

Section 719.131, Florida Statutes, is created to 19 read: 20 719.131 Law enforcement vehicles.—An association may not 21 prohibit a law enforcement officer who is a unit owner, or a 22 tenant, a guest, or an invitee of a unit owner, from parking his 23 or her law enforcement vehicle in an area where the unit owner, 24 or the tenant, guest, or invitee of the unit owner, otherwise 25 has a right to park. 26

Section 4. This act shall take effect upon becoming a law. 35
