[ 2 ] The Court is seized of an application filed pursuant to Sections 70.1 and 75 of the Youth Protection Act , by a person duly authorized by the Director of Youth Protection, to have B appointed as tutor of the child, X, born on [...], 2003. [ 3 ] X has been entrusted to Ms.
B, his maternal grandmother until his age of majority, by the Court’s order rendered on March 8 th 2017. [ 4 ] X had been under the care of Ms. B ever since December 2015. They have a strong and positive bond.
[ 5 ] X continues to see his mother and his biological father on a regular basis. [ 6 ] This tutorship process is the happy ending that all the parties desire. [ 7 ] After having read the documents filed in support of the application and taken into consideration the representations made by the Director’s and X’s lawyers as well as the mother’s consent, the Court concludes that all of the facts alleged in support of the application have been proven to its satisfaction and that the Director of Youth Protection's intervention is no longer required in the circumstances.
FOR THESE REASONS, THE COURT: GRANTS the application; APPOINTS Ms. B, living at […], City A, Quebec, as tutor for the child, X ; CONFERS the tutorship of the child to Ms. B; ENTRUSTS the child to the tutor; THE WHOLE without costs. __________________________________ PASCALE BERARDINO, J.C.Q.
