[ 1 ] THE COURT: Ms. Silva, we really just want to make sure that you are in a position where you can look after animals in the future, but that that time is not right now and it has to be in the future. [ 2 ] There will be an order pursuant to s. 24(3) of the statute that you are not to own pets for a period of three years. [ 3 ] The fine of $75 is appropriate, in my view, and you can have one year in which to pay that. [ 4 ] If there is a victim fine surcharge, and I do not think there is, but if there is one, it is hereby waived. [ 5 ] Thank you, and good luck to you, Ms. Silva. [ 6 ] MS.
