Any person who contravenes this provision commits an offence and is liable to a fine (sections 11.2, 11.2.1 and 135 Y.P.A.). [ 1 ] The adolescent has been entrusted to his grandparents, as a foster family, for all his life. [ 2 ] The mother struggles with long-term addiction issues and does not assume any parental duty in regard to the adolescent. She has contact with him, but not on a regular basis.

The proposed tutor manages the contact. [ 3 ] The proposed tutor, as well as her spouse, take good care of the child and intend to keep doing so on the long term. [ 4 ] The child is developing well and is not in need of youth protection services anymore. [ 5 ] The application meets the child’s best interest. FOR THESE REASONS AND THOSE EXPRESSED ORALLY AT THE HEARING, THE COURT: [ 6 ] GRANTS the application; [ 7 ] APPOINTS Ms. B as a tutor for the adolescent X; [ 8 ] ENTRUSTS the adolescent X to Ms. B; [ 9 ] THE WHOLE without costs.
