Any person who contravenes this provision commits an offence and is liable to a fine (sections 9.2, 9.3 and 135 Y.P.A.). [ 1 ] The Director of Youth Protection (the Director) submits an application for revision of the previous judgment rendered on October 13, 2022, by Honourable Marie-Chantal Brassard . [ 2 ] The mother has been served by way of newspapers because her address in the [region A] is unknown. [ 3 ] The only issue is in regard to the request of the Director to remove the attribute of parental authority from the mother concerning travelling and passports for the children. [ 4 ] On October 13, 2022, the Honourable Marie-Chantal Brassard rendered the following conclusion: WITHDRAWS the exercise of certain attributes of parental authority from the mother and GRANTS them to the Director, namely regarding school, health services, extracurricular activities, sports. [ 5 ] The mother is currently residing in a homeless shelter in Town A.

She is very difficult to reach and does not cooperate with the Director. [ 6 ] The foster family plans to travel outside Canada and would like the children to travel with them. The mother is not willing to sign an authorization for the foster family to obtain passports for the children. [ 7 ] The children are very well integrated into their respective foster family. For the children, not participating in this trip would alienate them, and that is not desirable. [ 8 ] The Court believes that it is in the best interest of the children to grant this application.

FOR THOSE REASONS, THE COURT: [ 9 ] GRANTS the applications; [ 10 ] DECLARES that the security and development of the children X, born on [...], 2010, Y, born on [...], 2016, and Z, born on [...], 2018, are still in danger;

[ 11 ] WITHDRAWS the exercise of certain attributes of parental authority from the mother, namely regarding school, health services, extracurricular activities, sports, travel and passports for the children and GRANTS said attributes to the Director of Youth Protection; [ 12 ] MAINTAINS all the measures ordered by the Honourable Marie-Chantal Brassard on October 13, 2022; [ 13 ] ENTRUSTS the situation of the children to the Director of Youth Protection A, who shall then see that the measures are carried out; [ 14 ] ORDERS any police officer to collaborate in the execution of the enactment; [ 15 ] THE WHOLE until September 30, 2023.
