Every person who contravenes this provision is guilty of an offence and is liable to a fine (sections 11.2, 11.2.1 and 135 Y.P.A.). [ 1 ] The applicants-adopters submitted to the Court an application for adoption regarding the child originally known under the given name and surname X , as it appears from the child’s birth certificate registered under number […]. [ 2 ] On March 20, 2017, an order of placement of the child with the applicants-adopters was rendered by the Court. [ 3 ] Considering the evidence provided to the Court on March 20, 2017, the Court reduced the placement period to three months. [ 4 ] The Director of Youth Protection filed a letter, dated June 6, 2017, which stated that the child is well adapted to his adoptive parents. [ 5 ] The applicants-adopters wish that the child be named X . [ 6 ] The present adoption application is in the child’s best interest. [ 7 ] The application is well founded in fact and in law. [ 8 ] THEREFORE, THE COURT : [ 9 ] RECEIVES the application; [ 10 ] GRANTS the adoption of the child originally known under the name of X by the applicants-adopters, B and A; [ 11 ] GIVES the child the following given names and surname, X ; [ 12 ] ORDERS that the Court clerk notify the present judgment to the Registrar of Civil Status so that a new birth certificate be issued for the child; [ 13 ] ORDERS that the Registrar of Civil Status act in conformity with the law; [ 14 ] ALL free of charge.
