Every person who contravenes this provision commits an offence and is liable to a fine (ss. 11.2, 11.2.1 and 135 Y.P.A. ). [ 1 ] The Director of Youth Protection brought an application under
section 70.1 of the Youth Protection Act [1] to appoint a tutor. [ 2 ] Counsel for the child informed the Court that the application is in the best interest of the child. [ 3 ] The child is […] year old. The child’s mother is recently deceased. He has no declared father. The child is an orphan and does not have a dative tutor. [ 4 ] On October 21, 2022 , the child was already the subject of a judgment of the Court du Québec and his security and development were compromised on grounds of abandonment.
At the same date, the Court ordered that the child be placed until he reaches the age of 18 years, entrusting him to B and C. FOR THESE REASONS, THE COURT: [ 5 ] GRANTS this application; [ 6 ] APPOINTS the Executive Director of Youth Protection A. as a tutor to the child X ; [ 7 ] ORDERS the police to cooperate in the execution of this judgment; [ 8 ] ENTRUSTS the child to the Director of Youth Protection A; [ 9 ] ORDERS the execution of the present judgment notwithstanding appeal; [ 10 ] THE WHOLE without costs . __________________________________ NATHALIE SAMSON, J.C.Q.
