Mélanie Camiré, Clerk at the hearing JUDGMENT [ 1 ] The motion seeks to preserve the confidentiality of innocent third party, i.e. bank clients who have no interest in the appeal [1] . [ 2 ] The motion is unopposed as it merely extends the confidentiality order issued by the trial judge to the material filed in the appeal.
FOR THESE REASONS, THE UNDERSIGNED: [ 3 ] GRANTS the Application of the Respondent to Issue a Redaction Order; [ 4 ] AUTHORIZES the redaction of the name of the Respondent’s clients included in the argumentation plans filed as
Schedule 4 and
Schedule 5 in support of the Plaintiff’s Application for Leave to Appeal and Notice of Appeal; [ 5 ] ORDERS the Registry of the Court of Appeal to remove the argumentation plans filed as
Schedule 4 and
Schedule 5 in support of the Plaintiff’s Application for Leave to Appeal and Notice of Appeal and substitute them with their redacted versions which shall be provided to the Registry by the Respondent’s lawyers within ten (10) business days following the issuance of the present order; [ 6 ] SETS the time limit within which the appellant must file its factum to February 29, 2024 and that of the respondent’s to April 29, 2024; [ 7 ] THE WHOLE without costs.
