[ 1 ] The Applicant seeks leave to appeal the judgment of the Court of Quebec, District of Gatineau (the Honourable Anouk Desaulniers), convicting him of two counts of criminal harassment. [ 2 ] The Applicant obliviously manifested his intention to appeal within the delay given his attempt to file on the last – i.e. May 23, 2023.

This also indicates that Applicant acted diligently to appeal the judgment. [ 3 ] Several of the grounds of appeal invoked in the Application are sufficiently serious so that time to appeal should be extended and leave granted concerning the factual issues raised. FOR THE FOREGOING REASONS, THE UNDERSIGNED: [ 4 ] GRANTS the Applicant’s Modified Application for leave to appeal; [ 5 ] EXTENDS the time to appeal to May 24, 2023; [ 6 ] ORDERS that the Modified Application for leave to appeal serves as the Applicant’s Notice of appeal.
