Any person who contravenes this provision commits an offence and is liable to a fine (sections 11.2, 11.2.1 and 135 Y.P.A.). [ 1 ] X was born […], 2010. She is the oldest of her family. X has been entrusted to her maternal grandmother, C, for a period of twelve months. [ 2 ] At that time, the mother was pregnant and had drug problems. [ 3 ] X's mother underwent therapy. [ 4 ] Since the child’s mother has finished therapy, she is sober but her situation remains fragile. [ 5 ] In such circumstances, the Court will grant the present application.

THE COURT : [ 6 ] GRANTS the present application; [ 7 ] REVIEWS AND EXTENDS the last order; [ 8 ] DECLARES that the security or the development of the child remains in danger ; [ 9 ] ENTRUSTS the child to her mother; [ 10 ] ORDERS that a person working for an institution or body provide aid, counselling and assistance to the child and the child’s family for a period of six months; [ 11 ] PROHIBITS the parents from using drugs or alcohol or to be under the influence of either in front of the child;

[ 12 ] ALLOWS the professionals working with the parents or the child to exchange information about the situation; [ 13 ] ORDERS that the contacts between the child and her father be subject to the terms and frequency determined by the Director of Youth Protection; [ 14 ] ENTRUSTS the situation of the child to the Director of youth protection for the execution of the present application; __________________________________ NATHALIE AUBRY, J.C.Q.
