A & B , both residing in town A, district A, province of Quebec Applicant-adopters ______________________________________________________________________ JUDGMENT (Sec. 566 & following CcQ and 825 & following Ccp) ______________________________________________________________________ [ 1 ] The applicant-adopters submit an application for a placement order of the child X, born on […], 2006. [ 2 ] The biological father of the child is not declared and the general consent to adoption has been signed by the biological mother. [ 3 ] The social assessment of the adoptive parents has been filed and both of them testify as to their family environment and their desire to adopt the child. [ 4 ] The child has been living with the applicant-adopters since September 20, 2006.
She has adjusted well to her new environment. The applicant-adopters are the psychological parents, assuming the care, maintenance and education for more than four (4) years. [ 5 ] The applicant-adopters have all the necessary qualities to exercise proper parental authority. [ 6 ] All the conditions and requirements for a placement with a view to adoption have been duly met. [ 7 ] A placement order of the child with Mr. B and Mrs.
A is in the best interest of the child and in respect of her rights. [ 8 ] As the child has been living with the applicant-adopters for more than four (4) years now, the placement period is reduced to three (3) months. [ 9 ] FOR THESE MOTIVES, THE COURT : [ 10 ] GRANTS the motion; [ 11 ] ORDERS the placement of the child X, born on […], 2006 with the applicant-adopters, Mr. B and Mrs.
