A & B , both residing and domiciled in City B, district A, province of Quebec Applicant-adopters ______________________________________________________________________ JUDGMENT (Sec. 129, 573 & following CcQ and 825.4 & following Ccp) ______________________________________________________________________ [ 1 ] On August 22, 2012, an order of placement was rendered concerning the child X, born on [...], 2009, with the applicant- adopters, B and A. [ 2 ] The order of placement was rendered for a period of three (3) months and the applicant-adopters were entrusted with parental authority. [ 3 ] The child has been living with the applicant-adopters since he was born.
They are the psychological parents, assuming the care, maintenance and education for more than three (3) years. [ 4 ] The applicant-adopters have all the necessary qualities to exercise parental authority. [ 5 ] All the conditions and requirements for adoption have been duly met. [ 6 ] Given the interest and the rights of the child, given the respect of all the legal prescriptions, the Court concludes that it is the interest of the child that the adoption of the child by the applicant-adopters be pronounced. [ 7 ] FOR THESE MOTIVES, THE COURT : [ 8 ] GRANTS the motion; [ 9 ] PRONONCES the adoption of the child X , born on [...], 2009 by the applicant-adopters, B and A; [ 10 ] ASSIGNS to the child to be adopted the following surname and name: X [ 11 ] ORDERS the clerk of the Court to give notice of the judgment to the registrar of civil status as soon as the judgment acquires the authority of a final judgment; [ 12 ] AUTHORIZES the applicant-adopters to withdraw the originals of the exhibits once judgment has been rendered and ORDERS the clerk of the Court to remit them to the attorney representing the applicants; [ 13 ] ORDERS the registrar to make the required entries to ensure the publication of the registry.
