[ 2 ] The child X is born on […] 2004 and the sole parent declared on the birth certificate filed is the mother.
But, the mother passed away September 20, 2009. [ 3 ] On December 15, 2011, the Honourable Judge Lucille Chabot rendered a decision declaring the admissibility for adoption of the child. [ 4 ] The applicant-adopters are the foster family of the child, assuming his care, maintenance and education since he is three months old. They are married since July 31, 1998.
They have all the necessary qualities required in order to exercise parental authority. [ 5 ] Considering the evidence and the period since the applicant-adopters are involved in the child's life, [ 6 ] Considering the child's best interest, [ 7 ] FOR THESE MOTIVES, THE COURT : [ 8 ] GRANTS the petition; [ 9 ] ORDERS the placement of X, born on […], 2004, with Mrs A and Mr B in a view to adopt the child; [ 10 ] ENTRUSTS the applicant-adopters Mrs A and Mr B with the parental authority during the placement period; [ 11 ] ALLOWS the child to use the given names and surname of X during the placement; [ 12 ] REDUCES the placement period from six to three months; [ 13 ] ORDERS the clerk to send a copy of the judgment to the applicant-adopters. __________________________________ DENYSE LEDUC, J.C.Q.
