[ 2 ] The child was born prematurely with specific needs and had to stay at the hospital for approximately three months.

Following her released from the hospital, the Quebec Court entrusted the child under the care of the applicant, the maternal aunt of the child.

The child resides with the applicant since then and they have developed a significative bond. [ 3 ] The mother gave a special consent for the adoption of the child on [...]; […] days have since elapsed without retractation. [ 4 ] The evidence reveals that the conditions set forth by Civil Code of Quebec have been met and that it is in the best interest of the child to order the placement with a view to her adoption by the applicant. [ 5 ] FOR THE REASONS, THE COURT : [ 6 ] GRANTS the application; [ 7 ] ORDER the placement of the child […] for adoption without recognizances of the pre-existing bonds of filiation to the applicant; [ 8 ] CONFERS parental authority to the applicant for the duration of the placement order; [ 9 ] TAKE NOTICE that the child will be identified under the same name and surname for the duration of the order for the placement; [ 10 ] REDUCES the period after which an application for adoption may be filed, from six months to three months;
