Section 566 of the Civil Code of Québec ______________________________________________________________________ The judicial files respecting the adoption of a child are confidential and no information that would allow the identification of the child, his parents, his tutor or the adopters may be published or broadcast, except as required by law (sections 12 to 16 C.C.P. and 582 C.C.Q.). [ 1 ] The Court is seized by the Applicant with an application for a placement order in view of adoption, concerning the child of male sex X , born on […], in the municipality of Quezon City, Province Metro Manila, in Philippines (P-3). [ 2 ] The child concerned by this application has no paternal filiation as it appears from his birth certificate (P-3). [ 3 ] On May 19, 2021, the child and his mother, Mrs.

B have signed a special consent for the adoption of the child by the Applicant and it has been more than 30 days since it was signed (P-4, P-5) . [ 4 ] The Applicant and the mother celebrated their marriage on July 30, 2011, as it appears from their marriage certificate (P-2) . [ 5 ] The parties live and are domiciled in the Province of Québec.

At the hearing the child and the mother presented proof of their Canadian citizenship. [ 6 ] The child has been living with the Applicant since June 3 rd , 2012. [ 7 ] CONSIDERING that the conditions of the placement of the child for his adoption by the Applicant have been duly fulfilled; [ 8 ] CONSIDERING the time that the child has lived with the Applicant prior to this Order; [ 9 ] CONSIDERING the testimony of the Applicant, indicating his deep desire to complete the adoption project;

[ 10 ] CONSIDERING the interests of the child and the respect of his rights; FOR THESE REASONS, THE COURT: [ 11 ] GRANTS the Application; [ 12 ] ORDERS that the child, X , born on […], be placed at the Applicant’s home in view to his adoption; [ 13 ] GRANTS the exercise of parental authority over the child to the Applicant, A ; [ 14 ] MAINTAINS the parental authority of the child’s mother, Mrs.
