Mélanie Camiré Clerk BY THE ASSISTANT CLERK JUDGMENT [ 1 ] Considering the grounds of the appellant’s motion; [ 2 ] Considering that the appellant’s memorandum is not ready yet and that the transcripts will be ready around July 15, 2019; [ 3 ] Considering that the appellant has not been represented by counsel since April 24, 2019; [ 4 ] Considering that the appellant alleges that he is looking for legal representation and that various counsel have refused to represent him because the delay for filing the memorandum is too short; [ 5 ] Considering that the application is contested by the respondent, who argues that the appeal must proceed because any further delays would cause her significant prejudice, given her very precarious financial situation; [ 6 ] Considering that this is the appellant’s second request for an extension of time and that he is now asking for an extension of 2 months in total; [ 7 ] Considering that the appellant is requesting an extension until July 31, 2019 and that the respondent’s time limit to file her memorandum is July 16, 2019; [ 8 ] Considering that it is in the interests of justice to grant the application and to revise the timetable in the file.

FOR THESE REASONS, THE UNDERSIGNED: [ 9 ] GRANTS the application; [ 10 ] EXTENDS the time limit for the appellant to file his memorandum until July 31, 2019 ; [ 11 ] EXTENDS the time limit for the respondent to file her memorandum until September 16, 2019 ; [ 12 ] TAKES NOTE of the appellant’s undertaking to ask his new counsel to transmit to the respondent a copy of the transcripts as soon as they are ready; [ 13 ] PLACES the case on the roll of November 21, 2019 in room Antonio-Lamer at 9:30 a.m., for a 90-minute hearing; [ 14 ] Costs to follow.
