[ 1 ] The Court is seized with a petition for protection concerning the youth. [ 2 ] X was brought up in an environment where violence was present. The father has minimal involvement in his son's life. The mother has been the main caregiver, but the relationship with her son is deteriorated. [ 3 ] X struggles with serious issues. He suffers from a developmental disorder, ADHD, Tourette's syndrome as well as reading and learning difficulties. He also shows behavioural disturbances. [ 4 ] Last summer, X is acting out at home. He does what he wants and refuses to comply with rules. His behaviour gets out of control.

His mother cannot control him. He is admitted into a rehabilitation center on August 20, 2013. [ 5 ] Since that time, he is going back and forth from A unit, an intensive care unit, a hospital and a group home located in [Province A]. [ 6 ] The youth has little autonomy and requires constant guidance and structure. Otherwise, he gets disorganized. He can easily become aggressive and even violent sometimes. [ 7 ] A few weeks ago, X was entrusted to a rehabilitation center in [Province A]. Up to now, he functions adequately in that place.

He should undergo full assessment of his situation soon. [ 8 ] The petitioner tries to figure out the best way to answer X's special needs. At the light of the recent progress, there is hope for the future. [ 9 ] The mother cooperates with services and wants the best for her son. [ 10 ] The evidence demonstrates that the security and development of the youth are in danger. The situation requires a long period of placement in a very structured environment.

WHEREFORE, THE COURT: [ 11 ] GRANTS the present petition for protection; [ 12 ] DECLARES that the security and development of X are considered to be in danger according to

section 38 of the youth protection act; [ 13 ] ORDERS that X be entrusted into a rehabilitation center designated by the director of youth protection until March 31, 2015; [ 14 ] ORDERS that X receive a psychological assessment and follow-up if deemed necessary; [ 15 ] ORDERS that X receive follow-up from a psychiatrist; [ 16 ] RECOMMENDS that the mother actively participate in psychological counselling for personal issues and anger management; [ 17 ] RECOMMENDS that the mother actively participate with an external educator for parental abilities including discipline, routine and structure; [ 18 ] ORDERS that X and his family actively participate in the application of the measures intended to put an end to the situation of endangerment; [ 19 ] ORDERS than a person working for an establishment provide aid, counsels and assistance to X and his family until March 31, 2015; [ 20 ] ENTRUSTS the situation of X to the director of youth protection of the Centre Jeunesse A for the carrying out of the present order.
