[ 1 ] The Applicant presents an application for the adoption of a child, born on […] , 2017; [ 2 ] On [...], 2022 a judgment was rendered by Superior Court withdrawing the exercise of the attribute of paterntal authority from the father, stating that he has abandoned his daughter; [ 3 ] The Applicant and the mother, B , live together since 2019; [ 4 ] The Applicant has been acting as a father to the child since 2019, and the child considers him her father; [ 5 ] On May 16, 2023, the Honourable Mario Gervais, J.C.Q., Youth Division, district A, pronounced a judgment ordering the placement for adoption of the child; [ 6 ] Considering that the conditions for adoption of the child have been duly fulfilled;

[ 7 ] Considering the time that the child has lived with the Applicant; [ 8 ] Considering the testimony of the Applicant, indicating his deep desire to complete the adoption project; [ 9 ] Considering the interests of the child and the respect of her rights; FOR THESE REASONS, THE COURT: [ 10 ] GRANTS the application; [ 11 ] REDUCES to three (3) months the six (6) months period established by law to present the application; [ 12 ] PRONOUNCES the adoption of the minor child, born on […] , 2017, by the applicant, A ; [ 13 ] MAINTAINS the filiation between the minor child and her mother; [ 14 ] ORDERS the clerk of the Court of Québec, Youth Division, to notify the present judgment of adoption to the Director of civil status and to supply all the information that will enable him to draw up a new birth certificate for the minor child in conformity with the law; [ 15 ] ORDERS the this child be designated with the name and surname of X [ 16 ] AUTHORIZES the parties to receive a copy of the judgment, subject to their undertaking to comply with the legislative provisions concerning confidentiality in matters of adoption; [ 17 ] AUTHORIZES the applicant to withdraw from the Court file the original exhibits P-1 and P-2 produced into the Court record; [ 18 ] THE WHOLE, without costs. __________________________________ Lyne MORIN, J.C.Q.
