The Bill also requires the establishment and maintenance of a regis- try relating to the use of tanning and ultraviolet light equipment. Persons who own or operate an establishment at which tanning services or ultraviolet light treatments are provided are require d to ensure that persons involve d in providing the services o r treatments receive training, and that signage respecting the health effects of the services or treatments are posted at the es- tablishments where the services or treatments are provided. The Bill also makes it an offence to contravene certain provisions o f the Bill. Le projet de loi interdit de vendre des services de bronzage et des traitements par rayonnement ultraviolet aux moins de 18 ans et d’en commercialiser à leur intention. Il exige également l a création et la tenue d’un registre concernant l’usage de l’équipe- ment de bronzage et de rayonnement ultraviolet. Tout proprié- taire ou exploitant d’un établisse ment où sont fournis des servi- ces de bronzage ou des traitements par rayonnement ultraviole t est tenu de veiller à ce que les personnes qui y fournissent les services ou les traitements reçoivent une formation et à ce que des écriteaux concernant les effe ts des services ou des traite- ments sur la santé soient affichés dans l’établissement où ils sont fournis. The Act does not apply in a municipality where a police force does not charge any fee for releasing a criminal record check for a volunteer. Le projet de loi édicte une nouvelle loi à l’égard des vérifica- tions du casier judiciaire des bé névoles. La Loi ne s’applique pas dans une municipalité où un corps de police ne demande aucuns frais pour communiquer une telle vérification. An organization that retains the services of a volunteer is prohib- ited from requiring a criminal record check for the volunteer, as a condition for the volunteer’s starting work with the organiza- tion, if the organization receives a criminal record check for the volunteer that is dated within the year before the day on which the volunteer starts work with th e organization and that is the most recent criminal record check that the volunteer has ob- tained. The criminal record check must meet the authenticity requirements specified by the regulations made under the Act. The organization can also require the volunteer to provide notice of all pending criminal proceedi ngs and the final disposition o f those proceedings. Le projet de loi édicte la Loi de 2007 sur les changements cli- matiques en Ontario , qui a pour objet d’assurer la réduction du niveau des émissions de gaz à effet de serre en Ontario en fonc- tion des engagements pris par le Canada en la matière aux ter- mes du Protocole de Kyoto ainsi que la participation de l’Ontario à la stabilisation des concentrations de gaz à effet de serre dans l’atmosphère. Section 3 of the Act requires the Executive Council to ensure that greenhouse gas emissions are reduced to no less than 6 pe r cent below their 1990 level by 2012 and to no less than 25 per cent below their 1990 level by 2020. If emissions are not re- duced to the required level by 2012, the Executive Council is required to ensure that emissions are further reduced by 2016 in an amount that is proportionately equal to further reduction requirements that would be im posed on Canada for failing to meet its 2012 emissions reducti on obligations under the Kyoto Protocol.
