Le projet de loi édicte la Loi de 2012 sur la sensibilisation aux troubles du rythme cardiaque héréditaires. The Act requires school boards to establish and maintain poli- cies concerning inherited heart rhythm disorders. The policies must include, among other things, a requirement that employees inform a pupil’s parent or guardian if the pupil is suspected o f fainting at school and a requirem ent that employees call 911 if a pupil is suspected of fainting while engaged in physical activity. La Loi exige que les conseils scolaires élaborent et maintiennen t une politique relative aux troubles du rythme cardiaque hérédi- taires. Cette politique doit com prendre, entre autres, l’obligatio n pour les employés d’informer le pè re, la mère ou le tuteur d’u n élève qui est soupçonné de s’être évanoui à l’école et l’obliga- tion pour les employés de compos er le 911 si un élève est soup- çonné de s’être évanoui pendant qu’il exerçait une activité phy- sique. The new Act establishes a tax credit that is payable to eligib le seniors for home property taxes payable on their eligible principal residence for 2003 and subse- quent years. For 2003, the tax credit applies to home property taxes that are attributable to the period from July 1 to December 31. Est édictée une nouvelle loi, soit la Loi de 2003 su r l’allégement de l’impôt foncie r résidentiel pour les personnes âgées de l’Ontario. Cette loi crée un créd it d’impôt payable aux personnes âgées admissibles au titre des impôts fonciers résidentiels qu’elles doivent paye r sur leur résidence principale admissible pour les années 2003 et suivantes. Pour 2003, le crédit d’impôt s’applique aux impôts qui sont imputables à la période allant du 1 er juillet au 31 décembre. “Home property taxes” is defi ned in section 1 of the Act. L’expression «impôts fonciers résidentiels» est définie à l’article 1 de la Loi. An individual is an eligible senior with respect to a year i f he or she satisfies the criteria se t out in subsection 2 (3) of the Act and such additional criteria as may be prescribed by regula- tion.
