Le projet de loi a pour objet de protéger les réserves d’eau de source et la qualité de celle-ci en Ontario. Section 4 of the Bill designates each conservation authority in Ontario as the watershed planning board for the area within the conservation authority’s jurisdiction. In areas of Ontario where there are no conservation authorities, watershed planning boards are to be established in accordance with the regulations. L’article 4 du projet de loi désigne chaque office de protection de la nature comme commission de planification de bassin hy- drographique pour la zone qui correspond au territoire de com- pétence de celui-ci. Des commissi ons de planification de bassin hydrographique sont créées c onformément aux règlements pou r les régions de l’Ontario qui n’ont pas d’office de protection de la nature. Section 5 of the Bill requires watershed planning boards to carry out assessments of the quality and quantity of water supply in the watershed planning area. L’article 5 du projet de loi exige des commissions de planifica- tion de bassin hydrographique qu’ elles effectuent des évalua- tions de la qualité et du volume des réserves en eau de la zone de planification de bassin hydrographique. The Liquor Control Board of Ontario’s powers do not apply to wine imported by an individual in a c- cordance with that provision. The Government of Ontario is required to encourage the parties to t he Agreement on Internal Trade to implement or amend measures to allow for the free movement of wine within Canada. A progress report must be tabled in the Legislative Assembly within three months after the Bill comes into force and every six months thereafter. Le projet de loi modifie la Loi sur les alcools en y ajoutant une disposition qui permet aux particuliers de 19 ans ou plus d’importer ou de faire importer en Ontario du vin provenant d’une autre province si le vin est destiné à leur consommation personnelle et non à la revente ou à un autre usage commercial. Les pouvoirs de la Régie des alcools de l’Ontario ne s’appliquent pas au vin importé par un particulier conformément à cette nouvelle disposition. Le gouvernement de l’Ontario est tenu d’encour ager les parties à l’Accord sur le commerce int é- rieur à mettre en oeuvre ou à modifier des mesures qui perme t- tent la libre circulation des vins au sein du Canada.
