It re quires the termination of an y strike or lock-out and provides a mechanism for achievin g a new collective agreement. The Bill also converts all remaining professional activity days into instructional days. Le projet de loi traite du conflit de travail o pposant le conseil scolaire de district appelé Hamilton-Wentworth District School Board et la fédération appelée Elementary Teachers’ Federa- tion of Ontario. Il exi ge la cessation de toute grève ou de tout lock-out qui est en cours et prévoit un mécanisme permettant la conclusion d’une nouvelle convention collective. Il convertit par ailleurs les journées pédagogiques restantes en journées d’enseignement. Le projet de loi édicte la Loi de 2005 sur le Fonds de dévelop- pement économique de l’Est de l’Ontario. The Act establishes the Eastern Ontario Economic Development Fund Corporation. The Corporati on is required to establish an d maintain the Eastern Ontario Economic Development Fund. La Loi crée la Société de gest ion du Fonds de développement économique de l’Est de l’Ontario, laquelle est tenue de créer et de maintenir le Fonds de développement économique de l’Est de l’Ontario. The Corporation can use money in the Fund to further its objects which include promoting the ec onomic development of rural areas and smaller urban municipalities in Eastern Ontario, fo r example by providing financial assistance to persons or bodies that carry on business in that region or to municipalities that are located in that region. That region is defined to be the area cov- ered by the City of Kawartha Lakes and the counties of North- umberland, Peterborough, Halibur ton, Hastings and Renfrew, together with all points in Ontario east of that area, but exclud- ing cities with a population of more than 200,000 inhabitants.
