Le projet de loi abroge la Loi de 2005 sur la représentation électorale et il édicte une nouvelle loi. The new Act provides for the Lieutenant Governor in Council to establish an Electoral Boundari es Commission (Ontario). The first Commission is established within 30 days of the enactmen t of the Bill. Subsequent Commiss ions are established each time there is a decennial census in Canada. The Commission is com- posed of three members: a judge and two persons appointed by the Speaker of the Assembly from among persons entitled to vote in an Ontario election. A member of the Senate or House of Commons of Canada or the Legi slative Assembly of Ontario is not eligible to be a member. La nouvelle loi prévoit la cons titution de la Commission onta- rienne de délimitation des circons criptions électorales par le lieutenant-gouverneur en conseil. La première commission est constituée dans les 30 jours de l’édiction du projet de loi. D’autres commissions sont constituées à la suite de chaque re- censement décennal qui se fait au Canada.
